From 21 to 27 May 2026, a group from ARCI Bra (province of Cuneo, Italy) came to Syros for an Erasmus+ adult learning mobility hosted by Travel in Art. The week took its rhythm from a simple Greek expression, siga siga: slowly, slowly.
Days in Ermoupoli and Ano Syros, a walk to Komito to collect wild herbs with respect, and two hands-on labs, one on natural beauty with Eleni Chercheletzaki and one on cooking with Maria Krina, turned the island into a classroom. The group’s travel journal, made together with the participants and full of photographs, recipes and pages from their own diaries, is available below.
