David Virdis

David Virdis is a co-founder of Travel in Art and leads the organisation’s activities in Crete.

He has lived in Greece since 2000 and teaches Italian as a second foreign language, alongside cultural mediation and international mobility experiences.

He believes that learning a language means, first of all, discovering a new way of thinking and building genuine relationships with people from different cultures.

For David, travelling is not simply moving from one place to another. It is an ongoing opportunity to get to know others and, through them, to know ourselves better. Because every genuine experience should let us come home a little better than when we left.
