Reading the landscape

Flora & Fauna invites you to see Syros with new eyes: its vegetation, its wildlife, the fragile balance of its environment. An environmental education programme that combines science and experience.

Walking and observing, participants learn to recognise and respect the island’s natural richness, in dialogue with art and culture.

How we work

Field observation walks, notebooks, maps and identification sheets. We learn to distinguish endemic species, read animal tracks and understand how wind, rock and water have shaped the ecosystem of Syros.

Who it is for

Schools of every level, university groups, families with children and nature lovers. Activities are tailored to participants’ age and experience.

What stays with you

A more attentive eye and a concrete ecological awareness: an island’s biodiversity is fragile, and knowing it is the first way to respect it.
