Mediterranean Herb Tales
Tales of Mediterranean herbs

The knowledge of herbs
Mediterranean Herb Tales takes participants on a discovery of the herbs of the Cyclades, through guided walks, workshops and stories. A living botanical heritage that brings together biodiversity, tradition and wellbeing.
Through observation and direct experience, the programme reconnects people with nature and local knowledge, encouraging a more mindful relationship with the landscape.
How we work
It all starts with walking. Recognising a plant in its habitat, knowing when to gather it and why it grows in a particular spot on the island is the first step. Then come hands-on workshops: drying, infusions, oils and simple preparations from Cycladic tradition.
Who it is for
Curious beginners, herbalism enthusiasts, school and university groups, Erasmus+ participants and anyone who wants to reconnect with the natural knowledge of the Mediterranean.
What stays with you
The ability to read a landscape: no longer a generic green, but a web of species, uses and stories. And a small repertoire of practices to take home.
